Thrilling Tag Rugby Tournament at Rugeley Rugby Club Ends in Nail-Biting Finish

Rugeley Rugby Club played host to an exciting Tag Rugby tournament that brought together talented young players from our Trust academies. The event was filled with energy, teamwork, and determination as schools competed for the top spot in what turned out to be a fiercely contested competition.

After a series of fast-paced matches, the tournament concluded with an incredibly close finish. Three academies ended the day with the same number of points, making the final result hinge on the number of tries scored. In the end, Willows Primary Academy emerged victorious, narrowly claiming the title thanks to their impressive attacking play and ability to convert opportunities into tries.

The atmosphere at the club was electric, with pupils demonstrating not only skill but also great sportsmanship throughout the day. Coaches and supporters praised the effort and enthusiasm shown by all teams, highlighting the importance of events like these in promoting physical activity and teamwork among young people.
