Teaching Assistant General – Level 2

25 hours per week - 
Grade 3 – £25,185 FTE (actual salary £16,824)
To commence November 2025
Fixed term until 31st August 2026

 

Cheslyn Hay Primary Academy is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. This will be a vital role in providing tailored support to a pupil in Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2) with autism and cognition and learning difficulties. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with autism and cognition and learning difficulties in UKS2.

  • Assist with the implementation of a Passport for Learning (IEP).

  • Adapt classroom activities and resources to meet the pupil’s needs.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and external professionals.

  • Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Experience working with children with autism and/or learning difficulties (desirable).

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
